A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a mistake. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this problem can be rectified using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a 3rd-party address.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox easily if you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet remarkably simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one of them you will find a mini "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not need this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
